Business Analyst, Supply Chain

Reporting into our Warehouse Systems Manager, the primary focus of the Business Analyst role is to support our Supply Chain strategy and systems to optimize our growing Pet Valu network.

Successful candidate will build and foster partnerships across the organization while supporting excellence for our Supply Chain team(s). An effective communicator with an ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization. Utilizing analysis, critical thinking, aligning with best Supply Chain practices and in sync with our Supply Chain systems, strategy, team culture and Pet Valu community. Business Analyst - Supply Chain role is for a someone who is passionate about delivering operational excellence, helping our teams to unlock new capabilities to improve our processes and systems and supporting key growth projects with an overall belief in being a part of something bigger.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, identifying opportunities to optimize while providing solutions.
• Document detailed business requirements, user processes and flow charts to support current / future state.
• Perform advanced level data mining and ad-hoc data analysis using various tools.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations to design solutions that meet the needs of the business.

• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing and validation of the systems functionality.
• Facilitating user training and SOP development where required for warehouse systems.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts from key functional areas to understand potential impact on the organization, gain alignment and drive operational excellence within the business.
• Support and collaborate with internal teams to help define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical probability.
• Ability to work positively with their immediate team and cross-functional partners involved in key projects and/or Pet Valu business.

• Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies across the business.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills.

• Measure and track performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Review a variety of areas including operations, purchasing, inventory, and distribution.

• Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to explore ongoing or one-time operational opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years technical experience working with supply chain applications including warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, order management systems and/or Enterprise Application Integration tools.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• System Implementation experience considered an asset.
• Must be able to travel to offices, stores, and distribution centers as required.

• Primarily Monday to Friday, flexible hybrid work schedule from home and office/DC.
• Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment.

• Able & willing to travel up to 10-30% of the time.
