Role- Data Analyst
Location Address: (1-2 a week, usually Wednesday and Thursday)
Contract Duration: Until end of Fiscal Year but HM intends to extend until Oct 2024
Scheduled Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Extension Opportunity: Yes Project runs until Oct 2024
FTE Opportunity: Possible
Pay Rate- $30-$32.5/hr.

Typical Day in Role:
- Provide data analysis support by means of both repeatable and ad hoc reporting delivery that informs business decisions
- Working with the Regulatory team to provide weekly reporting and analyzing metrics
- Utilizing Excel to identify populations within the data based on team needs
- Providing support for the project at large (determination, reporting and remediation)

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1) Data Analyst (data reporting, analyzing large amounts of data) – 2+ years of professional experience
2) Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Access, SharePoint(integrating with Access), PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced) • Excel functions: VBA/Macros, Powerquery, Fuzzy Match, Pivot tables, Joining tables, Advanced formulas – 3+ years of hands on experience
3) PowerBI reporting (data analytics & visualization) – 2+ years of hands on experience
4) Experience in reporting KPIs and reconciling large data sets – 2+ years of hands on experience
5) Experience creating dashboards and executive-level reports – 2+ years of hands on experience

Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience working at a global financial institution or asset manager a plus - BA background helpful
- Familiarity with KYC/AML/Trade Reporting regulations nice to have
- Experience working with and reconciling Capital Markets or Institutional client transactional data

Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills – written & verbal (explain/translate the data/analysis and communicate it to the teams & stakeholders in business terms)
- Positive attitude
- Team player

Best vs. Average Candidate: The best candidate would be someone with Excel proficiency and knowledge of KYC/AML and/or Capital Markets.

Education: Post-secondary degree in related field

Salary: $32.00-$32.50 per hour
